Besides, we only have a month or so until we know how Spike's coming back. It's very possible (although I don't like to think about it) that soon we will find out Spike is truly dead, coming back as a ghost or whatever. For me, that would be the end of fandom. No more anguish, no more hope, and I'll be free. Wheeee!
