Please don't dismantle it, (if at all possible) because it is the BEST archive of Spike fics. Also, there is an agency in the city that is responsible for elevators only...If your elevator is out frequently you can call them and the will make your landlord get his/her act together. I'm on the 6th floor too and our building tried this and it does work.
