I noticed today that MSN has a whole section on visiting Las Vegas. Might be of interest to those attending [livejournal.com profile] writercon.

The airfare guide has links to a bunch of smaller airlines that may offer cheap Vegas flights. And there is also info on food, transportation, stuff like that.

Reminds me -- our hospitality lead and a pack of locals are going to gang up to make sure we've got some vegan stuff on hand in hospitality, locations of local vegan eateries/restaurants, and we'll organize a grocery run or two if it seems like a good idea. The catering ought to hold up pretty well for standard vegetarians, but for folks with stricter observances, we're going to do our best to make sure you're not left hungry and bored... Let me know of any special requests, snack wise, will ya?

It's so cool of you to be so thoughtful. :)

Let's see ... the kind of general snack type stuff I'd have at parties would be like salsa, hummus (with no dairy), guacamole (with no eggs or dairy), chips, veggies, fruit, that kind of thing. I'm sure there will be something around that I can eat.

As far as actual meals, I'm not really expecting there will be much for me. I'll probably bring a few "just add hot water" box mixes for when I do crave meal-type food.

Are there other vegans coming? It would be cool to maybe go on a shopping expedition or out to a vegan restaurant with others if I knew who they were.
