Spent much of today catching up on updates at All About Spike.

This stuff is completely overwhelming. Stories to read and archive, going back years and years....

Really nice comments from people that I put aside to answer later, but now it's been over a year and there's not much point in responding. If you've ever sent me any nice comments about All About Spike -- just know that I appreciate it a lot.

This site is so old, and it's such a pain to update, but I don't have the motivation to redo the whole structure. So basically it's going to stay up as a relic, for people to enjoy the stories. And I will, occasionally, VERY RARELY, perhaps, post something new.

So, yeah, that's basically it. If I owe you a response, I'm sorry.

The site is absolutely great as is. Completing the WIPs as they come in is more than enough (thanks for finishing Nan Dibble's BLOOD RITES!). You shouldn't feel obliged to read new stories unless you really want to. Your archive was my introduction to the wonderful world of fanfiction, as I'm sure it has been and will continue to be for many others. Many, many, many thanks for literally hundreds of hours of reading pleasure!

All About Spike was the first site I found where there was consistently good fanfic. It's still where I go when I feel like reading something new. Don't ever take it down!!

I just think it's wonderful that you continue to maintain a site in a fandom where your heart doesn't really live anymore. I think that says a lot about your concern for other people. Thank you.

Originally the site was just "Laura's collection of stories she likes." But it sort of grew into this community thing, and became way bigger than I'd planned. So I do think I have an obligation to keep it going for the people who depend on it. And I feel really bad that I'm not really able to keep it updated regularly anymore.
