I bought S1-7 of X-Files--it was my first fandom, in fact. It took me three years to get over what Chris Carter did to the series in Seasons 8 and 9, but now that I have, I totally agree that they're great comfort food.

Though I mostly watch the Monster of the Week episodes. Still can't quite bear to dive back into the mytharc, knowing it isn't going to go anywhere.
