Ah, you know what's funny? I was randomly reading some old emails and discovered that I DID see Pigface, in 2001 at the Limelight with Godhead opening. I have no memory of this whatsoever. Funny. (Except dizenchanted remembers it, because she was telling me recently that we were there and that Pigface had two drummers, but I thought she mis-remembered me being there.)
...or maybe I left before Pigface came on...?
Anyway. What did you download from Bella Morte? Their new stuff is definitely better than their old stuff. But also, they're pretty much better live, IMO, than on record. The humor comes across more live. (Also, the aforementioned hotness of the singer.) Unplugged is really good--I saw them do that at DragonCon. (It was like goth story hour--a bunch of us sitting on the carpet in the hallway of the hotel, with the band playing unplugged in front of us.)
Anyway, it would be great if you're up for going to it, but if not, no worries.
Yes, I'm amazed that I got NIN tickets. Finally, my karma worked out!
I actually missed the spiral pre-sale, because I was in a meeting at work (damn job! interfering with my concert attendance!). But I managed to drag myself out of bed at 9:55 on Saturday morning and kept hitting refresh until the tickets showed up. Bought one GA and it actually went through! Then I went back to bed.
My mom goes to Atlantic City sometimes, so worst case scenario, I can beg her to take me. I'll probably end up taking a bus, though. (Turns out NJ transit trains don't connect to there from NYC--grrr.)
But still--Yay NIN! This'll be the, what, 6 1/2 time I see them? Hee!
