I'm sorry you don't like it. I love the meta episodes, though I didn't love this one and didn't think it was particularly meta (it was more about Becky as a serious character than about the relationship between the fandom and the show).
IMO the meta is one of the few things SPN does that is actually innovative. It shouldn't be hard for mainstream viewers to extrapolate the meaning (how hard is it to figure out what "Sam girl" and "Dean girl" mean?), and even if they don't, why should I care that they don't get it? I get it and appreciate it. ;)
