I'm so excited! I can't wait to see so many of my online friends in person. If you see me, say hi! (You may recognize me by my ridiculous fake blond hair and the fact that the only colors I wear are black and red. Also my name tag will say "Laura.") I'm terribly shy most of the time, but I will try my very best to be friendly. (But if I'm weird, it's not that I dislike you, it's just that I spend 95% of my time in front of the computer and therefore completely suck at social interaction.)
Naturally, there won't be any updates at All About Spike while I'm gone. I should be updating again Monday or Tuesday.

(btw, when you get back, grab falling into place on my site, if you still want it cause my email is acting like a crank whore. . .)

I shall archive "Falling Into Place" when I return. Sorry about your email!
Oh Phooey!
Everybody - Laura is a sweetheart who also happens to be sooo pretty!
See you tomorrow - getting in around 3 PM!

Btw, I started The Prisoner of Azkaban today (thank you!)... and couldn't put it back. It's finished, LOL. So much for my plans to read it leisurely in the Central Park...
SPOILERS for Harry Potter #3 ahead.
I liked it very much. For some reason, the whole time I was so convinced that Lupin was Sirius in disguise, the ending took me by complete surprise. I hope there'll be more Lupin in the next books, I liked him.
I chuckled over Hermione's self-inflicted predicament - I felt like her this semester, when I took 24 credits and had five final exams scheduled within 24 hours... Ouch.
And I HATE Draco! Hate him, hate him, hate him. And also Snape. Except I am confused... Wasn't Snape the one to save Harry's life in the first *ahem*movie*ahem* book? Unless I am mistaking him for someone else. I thought he was one of the good guys...
Anyway, I had fun last night (wheee! Jack Sparrow! squeeee! I feel 14!), and more today. Too bad I am not going to Tampa, but I'll try to enjoy it vicariously through everyone who's going. Have fun, and give James a kiss for me if you get a chance. ;-)

I guess you'll just have to read the fourth one in Central Park then .... (I can lend it to you when I get back, if you'd like. I liked the fourth even more than the third.)
I too thought the ending was very surprising. I loved that; it's so rare that I'm that shocked by a plot twist.
Everyone likes Lupin. Don't get me wrong, I like him too, but am I the only one who prefers Sirius? He's got that dark, tormented thing going on ....
Snape did save Harry in the first one. He is one of the good guys, he just hates Harry (and Lupin and Sirius; you find out more about why this is as the series progresses). It just goes to show you that not everyone is black and white; not everyone who hates Harry is bad, and the good guys aren't always perfect.
The movie was so great last night! I think we should reschedule our Johnny Depp fest when Jane and I get back. There's so much more to drool over!

Yes, I did! ::grin:: Tonight. Haven't watched it yet.

Oh, goodie, thank you.
I was so sure Lupin was Sirius... The name of the book led me astray. I didn't expect Sirius to appear only at the very end, I was convinced he was there, right under their noses the whole time... Which, in a way, he was.
We definitely should do Johnny Depp when you guys come back. Ahem. That didn't come out right. You know what I mean. The fest. And maybe even a third PotC screening. (Who, me obsessed? Oh, joy. I found something else to obsess over instead of you-know-who. Hee.)
Have fun in Florida!

I am desperate for someone to ask him the following questions.
1. Will doing the movie mean that he is absent from any episodes of AtS, and if so, how many?
2. Will he be bleaching his hair when he goes back to work next week?
Hope someone does.
Have a great time.

I'm sure both questions will be hot topics this weekend. If he's answering, I will find out!
Tampa
Have a safe trip and enjoy the con, Laura! And please squeeze JM extra hard for me if you get a chance to give him a hug ;-)

And you are a sweetheart and always gorgeous in your red, black and blonde.
Definitely have to do the Johnny Depp night upon your return.
