It was brilliant. :)

Though upon reflection, I think the reason we were shown Illyria getting the snot beat out of her was to viscerally drive home both how truly scary Hamilton is, and how utterly she has been vanquished as a Power. Perhaps even a taste of "the Senior Partners would particularly like me to hurt you for them."

I get that the point of the scene was "ooh, scary Hamilton," I just had issue with the beating. Were Illyria not one of the two feminine faces left in the cast, maybe it wouldn't have bugged so much. And a nitpicky question, why would she bleed? Thought Fred's body was an empty shell, "hardened," wasn't that the idea? Urgle.
