I went away this weekend, so I'm way behind on fic and email. Sorry about the slowness. If I owe you a response, I'll try my best to get to it soon.

This weekend:

  • I visited my parents.
  • Mom and I watched the last two episodes of "Angel" so that she'll be ready for Faith's return to "Buffy." I think I spent more time explaining the plot and character relationships that we did actually watching the show. She liked it, though, although she said she doesn't feel as strongly about it as "Buffy" because it doesn't have one character that really rivets her attention (no comparable "Spike"). I suggested Wesley; she agreed that he is the most interesting character, but she doesn't care about him like she does Spike.
  • Vanilla (the oldest, smartest, most beautiful cat) watched "Angel" with us. It's the first time she's sat on my lap in a very long time; she's usually wary of sitting on people because she gets very upset when we get up. It was nice to hang out with her.
  • I slept with three cats on my (twin) bed. Lucifer next to my pillow, and Vanilla and Angel in the middle of the bed on either side of me. I couldn't turn around all night, but it was worth it to be with them. I miss them *so much*.
  • I checked my email twice. Both times Lucifer insisted on sitting on my lap and trying to grab my hands as I typed. When he did manage to grab them, he pulled them to his face so I would pet him. (Awww!) Finally I just gave up on email and hung out with the cat.
  • Mom and I went shopping on Sunday. I now have spring clothes! (Actually, since the only color I wear is black--and occasionally dark red or purple--I saved lots of money by buying way discounted winter clothes. Nice stuff, too.)
  • Mom and I went into Chuck E Cheeses and played Skee Ball, as a reminiscent thing since when I was very little I used to love to go there (except it used to be called "Show Biz Pizza Place"). We had a really nice time spending the day together. I'm so glad we get along so well now.
  • That evening, mom helped me dye my hair BLOND. I can't believe I'm actually blond now. I haven't decided how I feel about it yet. It's certainly ... interesting. I keep getting surprised every time I look in the mirror (Who's that blond girl -- Oh, that's me!) I figure once I get sick of this I'll dye it red again, or black.

I promised Jane that I wouldn't download any clips of tomorrow's episode (even though we're both spoiled since we read the summaries ages ago). I have resisted so far ... only one more day to go. But OH MY GOD I'm dying to watch this episode!! And I want to catch up with list mail, but I can't, as I don't want to be inadvertendly spoiled.

Anyway, now I have to go write two papers. Yuck.
