(no subject)

Jane came over tonight, and we watched Angel(us). It was great; why do I like AtS better than BtVS now? Oh right, because it's wittier, more interesting, less predictable, much more visually stunning, and simply more fun. I find every character on AtS at least entertaining, whereas on Buffy I feel like I have to endure a vast array of dull characters in order to get a few moments of the characters I care about. I don't even mind Fred or Gunn, and I adore Wesley more with every episode. And Angelus is just brilliant. I finally buy that Angel and Angelus are different entities, because if that was Angel he couldn't possibly be so damn entertaining.

Jane mentioned that she's going to DragonCon, which is *perfect* since I was already thinking about going. So we decided that we'll go together. Yay! Now I just need to register and figure all that stuff out. Anyone have any advice as to anything that I should be aware of? I went over their website but it wasn't terribly informative, and I feel like I'm missing information that might be useful.

I should update my website now, but I'm tired and I have a headache. I suppose it can wait until tomorrow.

Sorry for not replying to your earlier post, but whee! You and Jane at DragonCon? It just keeps getting better and better. All these wonderful online friends, and I don't have to worry about airfare or a hotel room ;). Like I said, lots of friends are coming, and we're already planning a party at the clubhouse at either my or [livejournal.com profile] biftec's apartment complex. Swimming pool, booze, big screen TV, and Spike. What more could a girl want?

What kind of advice do you need? The good thing about D*C (from what I've heard) is that it's massive, which means you won't have to worry so much about tickets and such. It's also a very diverse convention, so everything won't be quite so focused on JM/BTVS like at Shore Leave. If you want to save money by avoiding the downtown hotels, I can suggest some cheaper places in the inner suburbs where you could still catch the subway to the convention site.

We should really start an LJ community or mailing list for the people coming to DragonCon. I can't keep track of them all anymore.

I'm going to DragonCon too

Hey Alanna,
I'll be there too with bells on. :-)

DragonCon is going to be amazing.
