Today was a very Buffy day. (That's a weird sentence). First I went to the brunch that _flaming_june_ organized. It was neat to meet so many LJ and fandom people. I think half the Buffy fans in NYC showed up; we kept adding more and more tables as the waiter got increasingly irritated. I'm very shy, especially in large groups, so I mostly just watched other people talk. But it was interesting, and very cool to meet all these people.

After that, herself_nyc took some of us to her apartment to meet her absolutely adorable dog, Traddles. Traddles is tiny and beautiful, and I think she very much enjoyed having guests fawning over her.

Then jaydk and I came back to my house where we got ready for my party. It ended up being drujan, herself_nyc, jaydk, Marlaine (who doesn't have a LJ yet, but will soon), and me. We watched a bunch of Spike clips and discussed BtVS stuff (the subtext behind the Spike/Angel stuff in "School Hard," Buffy's treatment of Spike in S6, etc.) It was really fun to discuss all this stuff in person, and also fun to revisit some older Spike scenes (Spike has a great scene with Harmony in "Real Me" that I'd totally forgotten about).

I just finished cleaning up and doing dishes, and now I'm going to go fall into bed. No website updates today, as I'm exhausted, but hopefully tomorrow.
