Wearing: black tanktop that I realized (too late) is a little too lingerie-like for work, ugly conservative black work skirt

Hair: in a ponytail, pinkish brown, in desperate need of dye

Ate today: bowl of organic blueberry muesli with soymilk

Thing last said: um, probably "bye" to one of my coworkers

Last phone call: to apartment super, trying to get them to replace my crappy ancient air conditioner that barely cools the room yet frequently shorts out the power

In your bag: umm ... mp3 player, cell phone, wallet, checkbook, makeup, pen, hairbrush, lotion, receipts, keys, metrocard, passport, much extraneous junk

Last watched on tv: I haven't watched TV for weeks. Was probably "Futurama" or "Family Guy"

Last IM: the night before my birthday (june 29). I talked to kita0610 and dizenchanted

I need: Maintenance to come to my apartment and fix the air conditioner and fan so that I can change the locks and then bring my cats home.

Looking forward to: Cats coming home. Seeing Common Rotation at psubrat's next week with chenanceou and everyone. Writercon.

Worst part of the day: this horrible long meeting that went on forever and caused me to miss the return call from my super about the air conditioner

Best part of the day: Umm... this day kind of sucked so far. I'm about to go home from work; maybe it'll be better then. So far my favorite part was that damn meeting being over.

Favorite person of the day: Umm ... chenanceou, for being fun at dinner last night and buying me a book.

thinking about: Getting the hell out of this hot office.

current annoyance: Needing to get the air conditioner replaced, and the realty company for being lame about it, and everyone at work for not caring. Oh, and JK Rowling for killing my favorite character and thus preventing me from wanting to embrace what otherwise would have been an engaging new obsession. And myself for being completely unable to force myself to read Buffyverse fanfic, thus preventing me from updating my website, thus upsetting many writers who I love and also causing the website I was so proud of to die a slow pathetic death.

Oh, don't worry, I didn't mean that I would close it. Someday I'll die and stop paying the bills and the hosting company will shut it down, but I have no plans to ever intentionally close it. I want the archive to remain available as long as possible--that's the whole point of collecting every story I loved together.
