I hate everything that I write.

Like this. I was trying to figure out how to take the “I”s and “me”s out, but I couldn’t. I wanted to write about why Paul is amazing, not about the impact Paul had on me personally, which is irrelevant. But I couldn’t separate the two; everything became generic and weirdly removed when I took out the “I”s and “me”s.

But with them in, it’s like, god, so narcissistic and who fucking cares.

I was crying as I wrote the post – it’s trying to describe something that meant so much to me – but when I read it, the emotion isn’t there at all. I don’t understand. I feel these things so intensely, but I can’t communicate them at all.

I’m going to make a filter for my overly personal Sleep No More posts so I can stop spamming you guys. Please comment if you want to be on it. (I might still post the generic ones publicly, sorry.)

I would almost certainly find it interesting, just based upon your descriptions. Also, it's full of slender, big-eyed men with high cheekbones, so even if I didn't like the play, I could enjoy the scenery. :)

I don't know when I'll make it out of Florida again, though. I'm moving this summer, and that's going to take all of my discretionary cash. :(

I was drawn in by your talk of writing the post you linked. I enjoy reading about media written by people passionate about their subject. As for the show, I've heard of it -- probably through reading your posts, actually -- and it sounds fascinating. I wonder if I'll ever experience it, though. I'm mildly intimidated by the format, though I'm irritated at myself for feeling so. I'd prefer not to go alone. And the cost of a trip to NYC is a factor.

As for me, I'm just a fannish person on the earth, enjoying the media and the fanfic and the sense of community of reading and commenting on dreamwidth.

Ha! Not easily scared away by weird, and I'm appreciative of frank opinions.

I wish I both had more time and opportunity to see theater. I might be taking a trip to NYC for other reasons. That might be a good opportunity to see something. In the meantime I like reading about it.
