There's no way Bloom could be Spike. But that might just be my bias against Orlando showing ;).
And I'm with you on the Smashed footage too. I was ready to think it was hot and watch it over and over. But once was enough for me. If I loved Spuffy though (which I most decidedly do not), I think I'd be excited about it.
