I’m feeling very disillusioned with Supernatural. I’m in fandom for the squee, and this show is not making me happy anymore, so I think I have to move on. I’m so sad, because my interest is still there and I really want to keep loving it, but it’s just giving me nothing.
I’m primarily unhappy because:

Had a great Thanksgiving with my friend Cat. She stayed over for a few days and we went to Candle 79 for Thanksgiving, where we enjoyed a delicious meal and she ran into David Duchovny in line for the bathroom. I had Thanksgiving with Mulder! In an all-vegan restaurant! :) Of course she was a consummate New Yorker and didn’t let on that she had any idea who he was, though we are both X-Files fans from way back and spent the rest of the meal squeeing over it.

I don’t know WTF to do about Delicious–keep posting there even though it sucks now? Go to pinboard even though it costs money and I don’t have time to learn a new interface and does it even have Android and Chrome plugins? Wait for a fan-made alternative?

I have been listening to Nick Cave almost non-stop (mixed in with PJ Harvey) for about 6 months, but haven’t felt much need to seek out videos. Of the few I’ve seen, this one for Tupelo is my favorite so far.
Also there is Henry Lee with Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, where PJ Harvey is so riveting I barely notice Nick Cave is there…
And while randomly clicking around, this awesome clip of Hole doing “Pretty on the Inside”. *sigh* There is a part of me that will always adore Courtney Love.
I also have a whole pile of fic I could rec, but no time to put it together in an organized fashion. Stupid Delicious. >:(

Home from Wincon. Good to hug my cats. I will miss the nights of uninterrupted sleep, though. (Lucifer has me up at 6am for kitty breakfast.)
Sadly 10zlaine couldn’t come, but it was a lot of fun to hang out with soundingsea. We stayed in a lovely B&B, toured several historical buildings and took a ton of walking tours (I think 4? the cocktail tour was the best ;) and even managed to find decent vegan food (Wandering Buddha vegan Korean!). Oh, and we took a trip to the bayou and held a baby alligator. :)
The con was okay, but I was sad that so few people I knew were able to make it. It’s hard being a newbie at a con where everyone seems to know each other, especially when you’re an extreme introvert.
But hey, good to escape work for a few days, and wonderful to hang with soundingsea.
Oh and I loved the SPN episode, of course. :)

So aside from the raging misogyny that infuses everything that ever happens on Supernatural, I am really enjoying this season and am particularly happy with Dean’s story so far.

Also I want to start a letter writing campaign to the costume department of SPN to please burn all of Dean’s bulky jackets and instead have him running around in tight black t-shirts every episode.
(*sigh* … the more grown up and “professional” I have to be at work, the more I turn into a 12-year-old in fandom)
So who else is going to Wincon? I just had this huge stressful thing trying to make sure someone can cover me at work because I got assigned to this ridiculous gigantic important project last week (uh, yay?) and none of my usual team members are on it and the Wincon dates are right in the middle of a critical part of it. But someone did agree to cover and dammit nothing is going to keep me away from a weekend of fangirl squee.
