As long as DW doesn't offer any automatic resizing, hand-coding is the only way, I think? I just manually added a size tag as to limit the width, 400px if I recall correctly...

Yeah, Dreamwidth image hosting is promising but not very fine-tuned yet -- I had trouble uploading at all today, although I'm pretty sure it was merely a format problem: an interlaced .png image file.
