Laura, I want you to be happy, to find something that is fresh and exciting, that captures your imagination. I want you to be able to leave this unhappiness behind, and to never again feel like "I can't stand who I am when I post here".
I really appreciate your willingness to continue the website, at least for the moment. It's probably the smartest, most elegant fic site ever. As a resource, it's more than just useful - it's essential.
Maybe you could think about simply not participating in LJ at all for a while, as opposed to closing your account. There might be something fabulous right around the corner, and once a little time has passed, who knows? Maybe you'll want to come here and share the squeeage.
