One of my college roommates (I was in a dorm for one year and yet went through five roommates) had her boyfriend nearly living with us. She had a bed for him on the floor, and the room was so small that I'd have to climb over him whenever I wanted to move around the room. I don't understand why they were dating--they hated each other and would argue, shrieking and screaming at top volume, for hours and hours. And then when he left, they'd talk on the phone and I'd hear her end of the shrieking and screaming. They would do this all night long, and I'm a night person, but when it got to 3 or 4 am I wanted to sleep, not listen to them fight.
So, yes, when I think of that, I remember this the current situation really isn't so bad. :)
