What I've found is that musicians don't know what to do with people who like to just go see them play but don't want anything from them; they just have no idea how to handle that, 'cause they're so used to people wanting stuff from them all the time - to get in free, booze, whatever other substances might be around, etc., etc. I've not met a single musician yet who is okay with people who just like to see them play, and that's it. It's actually kind of funny in an annoying way...
