OH MY GOD! RAYMOND WATTS IS DOING... SOMETHING?

TSC - New Pig November 8th
Metropolis - Pre-Order Pigmata
PIGPEN - ...rebirth...

I hope. *crosses fingers* *prays*

It's probably just a re-release of "Pigmartyr." But still... it's something!

and maybe he'll ... tour?

Speaking of cool things, I spent my lunch break exploring a bunch of local used record stores seeking Pig and KMFDM stuff. I found only one worthwhile thing, but it's unbelievable: a new, shrink-wrapped copy of Pig's first CD, "A Poke in the Eye ... with a Sharp Stick," release on Wax Trax! in 1988. I paid $20. Used copies of this go for $80 on eBay. And this one is shrink-wrapped!!! As I checked out I had to force myself not to tell the guy "Do you have any idea how rare this is???!!!" :)

Which used record store was this?
I think I found the original KMFDM Naive in a store and didn't buy it because I'm an idiot.
Pig tour! ^^

I forget the name, it was on 3rd Ave around 7th street.

You didn't buy NAIVE??!! How much were they selling it for?

KMFDM seems really popular now, I guess due to their new album. Their stuff is going for a premium on eBay at the moment.

I think it was the original Naive for only 5 bucks but like I said, idiot. I was thinking, well I already have Hell to Go on tape. Dude, I don't know what's wrong with me.
Did you ever get to Generation Records? That's where I saw it.
KMFDM has a new album? Not WWIII?

I went to Generation Records (I spent my lunch break going from store to store) but I didn't find anything good there. I'll try and keep checking back, though. (A guy at one of the stores said KMFDM stuff goes really fast.)

KMFDM has a new album called Hau Ruck. I have it, but haven't listened yet, 'cause, y'know, no Raymond Watts.

I realized that a Pig tour would be extremely unlikely since his whole band is in KMFDM now... *sigh*

Someone on one of the forums said that the new CD is a remastered version of Watts' "Pigmartyr" with a new song. Everyone seems disappointed, but I'm excited. I think "Pigmartyr" has some good songs, I'm glad they'll be seeing the light in the US, and I'm especially glad they're getting remastered, because the original production sucked, and they deserve to be heard properly. Did you ever hear that album?

Anyway, Watts doing anything musical is happy news. :)

I've never heard any Pig albums except The Swining, GAM, and Wrecked and then some songs. I am Pig deprived.

Oh no! Get ahold of Praise the Lard and Sinsation immediately! (They're not hard to find; I bet you can get cheap used versions on amazon.com or half.com easily.)

I don't want to rain on your parade, but are you sure it's a factory seal? I used to work at Rolling Stones of Chicago and we had a shrink-wrapping machine. :)

I asked them, and they assured me it was really new. Plus, the shrink wrap looks about the right age. And the CD case inside looks totally untouched. So I think it's the real deal.
