Strangely enough Queen's Play was the first Lymond book I read and I was hugely confused not even knowing who Lymond was. I do remember struggling with it and it's probably the book I've read least often but as queenofthorns says it's massively important in retrospect and the events of Queen's Play reverberate throughout the series. And that's all I'm saying *g*.
