Ianto was going to die in Torchwood season two, not Owen - the scripts were changed at the very last minute.

OMG. Can you imagine the wank? The fangirl heads exploding everywhere? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST THING EVER.

Well, except then we'd still be stuck with old lizard face. Hmmm. I still think they should've killed off Ianto, though, because Gorman is a better actor and the wank would have been hilarious.
