Is it wrong that my response to this is to want to post lots and lots of meta about how bored I am by Old Who and about how Rose is made of awesome?

who_anon is like the cesspool of fandom. I think a lot of people don't understand the difference between being silly and annonymous (which was I thought the original point of anon comms were) and using annonymity to be a dick.

I think it's kind of a compliment really, although a little weird how they cannot let it go -- then again, that describes fandom to a tee. But really -- failing for not liking old DW? Must have missed the hidden depths of caveman politics -- I just thought it was mindnumbingly boring.

I found old Who pretty dull too. I did enjoy The Unearthly Child, but I was so bored with the first caveman episode that I stopped watching there. I like to watch things in order, but I have been thinking of just watching some of the 4th Doctor instead. Or The Mind Robber which sounds fun. I'm doing it all totally backwards, I've brought heaps of books to study what happened in the past so that I can understand the show history sufficiently, but I just can't stand actually sitting to watch someone shouting over and over, "We need fire!!!"
