Man, this just gets worser and worser. I'm really sorry you had to deal with anti-Spike sentiment. It's kind of scary, actually, like you said, to be involved in a fandom with so much hate and bitterness. The more I find out about it, the less I want to be deeply involved in it. I'm kind of glad I've never gone to a con, to tell you the truth.
