But...

Just dropping in to say that I would love to have some Halloween stories to archive at All About Spike tomorrow. So if you're writing one or you've written one, it would be really cool if you sent it to me for consideration. (There's never any guarantee that I'll archive it, but I'll definitely look it at right away). The only set-in-stone requirement is that the story has to include Spike in some way.

Remember, if you're sending a story for consideration, it helps me greatly if you include: title, summary (optional), rating (or "not rated"), pairing(s) (or "no pairing"), and time period(s).

Thanks about the icon. I made a bunch like this a while ago but then decided they were stupid. But then recently I wanted a Spike/Dru icon so I uploaded this one. I'm kind of surprised that people like it. But that's cool. :)

Actually, I'm thinking, I'm going to post a reminder to people to email me or comment in my LJ when they post their scary stories tomorrow, so I can put together the master list. So, do you want me to mention as well that you'd be interested in receiving pimpage for Spike-related stories? Or you can just consult the list I put up. I can ask folks to include a note about whether their story focuses on Spike, for your browsing convenience.

That was nice of you to mention my site in your LJ. I didn't mean for you to do that, but I appreciate it. I just wouldn't want to annoy anyone who did write a Spike-centric story, but wouldn't want me to archive it for whatever reason.

Plus there's those people who get annoyed whenever Spike's name is mentioned 'cause he's "taking over fandom" ... no wait, actually I don't care if those people get annoyed.

Aw, drink, I didn't mean to come off actually mean and vicious. Just fake mean and vicious, for the purposes of the whole "pimp/ho" dynamic which is probably in very bad taste anyway and let's forget I said anything.

I'm thinking, I'll fire up the list tomorrow and you can pick and choose if you want. Plus, if you get extras at AAS that I don't know about, I'll find 'em on the site. Very cool. More Hallowe'en fics = happier wiseacress.

It's okay; I knew you were kidding. (I have a hard time imagining you being mean and nasty!) I'm just paranoid and I always fear that there's a grain of truth when people say things like that, because even though they say it in a joking way, it did come to their minds.

Plus I kind of felt guilty, since you were the one who came up with the Halloween stories idea. It occured to me as I wrote this that maybe I shouldn't since it was your thing.

Anyway, chalk it up to me being strange and paranoid.

Er....I'm having a devil of a time actually getting the site to behave. Having at long last picked up Tabula Obscura again, I found that I couldn't find my files with the previous chapters. I keep getting some kind of maximum traffic warning. Is this just me?

No, it's doing that here too. I don't know what's wrong. I can't troubleshoot or call tech support because I'm at work right now, and I'm about to go to class where I'll be for the next five hours. So there's really nothing I can do except hope it'll start working soon. (If it's still doing it this evening, I'll call tech support).

It does seem that if you reload a few times and wait a while, you'll eventually get it to work. I know that's inconvenient. I'm sorry. :(

No, I don't have a policy on that. I don't tend to include those fics because I think they're generally poorly written and tend to distort characters and situations in order to fit them together. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't include one if I found it to be written well. (I'm not claiming to place an objective value judgement, btw; I'm just speaking of what appeals to me.)

I don't have any "policy" other than that the story has to include Spike in some way. I'm less likely to include crossover fic, but I won't know until I read the actual story.
