Oh my god *panic*. I have to be packed and ready to go to Writercon tonight. Because I'm leaving tomorrow straight from work.

*deep breath*

Okay. Breathing.

I'm rushing home after work tonight to meet with my former coworker and show her how to take care of my cats. (She's cat-sitting for me). Then we're going to dinner (or, I'm taking her to dinner to thank her for cat-sitting).

Then when I get home, I have to 1) do laundry, 2) pack, 3) dye my hair, 4) clean my room so that when my coworker is cat-sitting she actually has somewhere to sit, 5) print out all the necessary Vegas info, 6) burn some Common Rotation for my MP3 player, 7) clean out my email account so that it doesn't overflow while I'm gone, 8) get a long night of restful pre-vacation sleep.

Yeah, that last one's not gonna happen.

I'm nervous. I've never been to JFK airport before and I've never flown Jet Blue before. I was going with drujan, but she decided she wanted to go earlier in the day, so changed her flight. (I couldn't, as I can't take that day off work.) So now I'm going alone. Scary!

Anyway, my cell number is on the list that secondverse sent out, so if you need to get in touch with me after tomorrow, that's how.

Not mean spiritedly, of course. Sort of the same laugh as if you had just tripped, but the sort of tripping where you don't actually get hurt, but is funny. Okay, well, I couldn't help it.

I shouldn't be, because I'm sitting here doing nothing, knowing full well I'm working most of the day tomorrow, and will be in the same position as you tomorrow night...that is, *if* I go see CommonRo on Wednesday night and stay over that night instead of flying to the airport Thursday morning. I haven't even called to make sure the dog has a place to stay yet.

Your hair looked like you had just done it since i saw you last? Are you doing another color?

I got your email last night, as I was fighting with my computer, trying to get it to burn Common Ro CDs to my MP3 player. Which was important business....

I dyed my whole head, not just the front. Of course, I'm swimming, so it'll probably wash out before the con anyway....

I totally sympathize.

I haven't flown many times, and when I did it was with other people. Sunnyd_lite is on my flight, but not with me. I have to find the terminal (on the bus) and the jetsgo planes and all.

I have the added going through customs anxiety too.

I am actually in an even worse shape... The plane leaves tomorrow at 7 am (!), I am NOT packed (didn't even start yet), and I have too much to do to even begin to list it.
