After being imprisoned in a room full of Goth people for two nights, [livejournal.com profile] miggy sought revenge by turning me into a doll.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's con reports. But so sad that the con is over. I miss you guys. If anyone's ever going to be around NYC, let me know and we'll meet up.

Oh, and I'm going to be at Vulkon in Oakland (August 27-30), Dragoncon in Atlanta (September 3-6), and I'm spending a week in London for the James Marsters/David Boreanaz Halloween bash. So if anyone's going to be around any of those and wants to hang out, also let me know....

*can't stand waiting two years for another Writercon!*

Oh yeah, and if you missed it, my insanely long and rambly con report is posted here.

I won't be able to go to Vulkon, but I work a block away. I'd love to meet up —maybe do a whole LJ outing or something.

We should definitely plan something for people who are going to be in the area. Let me know if you know anyone else who'll be around. You probably know the area better than I do--where would be a good place to meet up? (That's easy to get to for those of us trapped in a hotel with no car?)

It's in an odd spot. Seriously, downtown Oakland after dark? Not so welcoming. But there's a decent sushi place down the road apace and there's always Jack London Square. Oh, and there's fantastic Vietnamese, but it's on the slightly expensive side.

I know [livejournal.com profile] lovebytez, [livejournal.com profile] nautibitz, and possibly [livejournal.com profile] vixkitten will be in town. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] psubrat. Beyond that? No idea.

Oh, I'd love to come to London, but a) are there any tickets left? b) how expensive is it?

[livejournal.com profile] db2305 and I were tentatively talking about meeting up for this, but it seems like those plans were cancelled.

I'm pretty sure there are tickets left. It's insanely expensive, though (£299). All the info is at www.jamesmarsterslive.com. Alternately, there's a much cheaper con going on the same weekend called the White Room. That might actually be more fun (I was thinking about crashing it); it's going to have photoshoots with a shirtless, tatooed Christian Kane .... plus Stephanie Romanov and J. August Richards, among others (info at www.starfury.co.uk).

Plus, it's all a great excuse to visit London, which is what I'm really going for....

Hope to see you. :)

Eek! I'm a student who's about to buy a flat. And my income consists of dividends that mostly evaporate by our insane income tax laws.

Ok, CK is very nice to look at, but I'm not really much for photo shoots. In fact, I don't particularly like to be photographed - especially not in strained circumstances. And frankly, many of those fannish pics look embarrassing.

Ah, I've been to London before... but it's not like I'd ever be tired of the place. Hmm. I suppose I could visit my brother and perhaps meet up with some of the Brits on my flist... But I'm afraid Db won't be able to come, and she's the main reason I was contemplating the thing in the first place. I've never met her, but I've beta'd for her since the start, more or less.

But I'd love to meet you, of course. And, listen to the boys. I'm mostly into the dialogue/delivery part of Jossverse fandom, so I'd love to listen about JM's acting process. As for DB, well...*cough*woodenmuch?*cough* ;-)

Well, the White Room is only £60-something ... not as bad.

I don't like photo shoots either; the point is that you get to spend time with a half-naked, stunningly gorgeous Christian Kane. The photo is irrelevant. ;)

I met Dutch Buffy at Writercon and she seemed really cool; I'm sorry she won't be in London. Let me know if you'll be around, though.

Mm, but well... I had the opportunity to meet Billy Boyd and Warwick Davies in April, and was what? 15-20 metres away. But they were only signing autographs, and I didn't really want to speak with or even meet them. Listen to Scots accent, yes. Fangirl, emphatically no. And well, I like men but I don't like to ogle. (That might have sth. to do with the fact that I hate being ogled.)

She just told me she might be turning up, so... anything's possible. :-)

Oh do I wish I could go to more cons, even though I'm not that enthralled with actors; I've love to just hang with you! But never fear, I'll come stalk you in NYC. :)

I'm not really into meeting actors, either; cons are just fun. Hanging out, being with cool people, seeing new places, traveling ... it's an adventure.

You totally should come to NYC sometime. I'll take you to all the good vegan restaurants. ;)

I'd really groove on that! While I do eat lacto-ovo, I love good vegan food.

Bwah! I picked people for dolls through this highly scientific method:

I would pass a shirt and say "Hey! That looks like something X would wear!"

You know how confused I am? I'm confusing my journal and that of drinkthepoisonx. I blame the hypnotic power of your iPod icon. *stares*

I can't remember whether you said you'd been to London before. Have you booked anything yet?

Never been to London before, don't have a place to stay yet. I'm staying with four other people, though... we just have to figure out where and when and all that. (We were thinking of booking a flat for a week.) Any advice?

Hotels are pretty expensive in London, so a flat sounds like a sound idea if you can arrange it.
