High School Senior Year Meme (snatched from
irfikos)
I remember very little of senior year, but let's give it a try....
What year was it?
1999-2000
What were your three favorite bands?
Uranium 235. Alice in Chains (always). Marilyn Manson.
What was your favorite outfit?
Whatever wasn't too dirty or wrinkled to wear to school. Usually a band t-shirt (probably a Uranium 235 shirt that I made) with a black skirt, ripped tights, and boots.
Unless I was going to a concert/to NYC. Then it was glittery red/purple/black slut dress or miniskirt, tall boots, lots of goth makeup and glitter.
What was up with your hair?
It was very red. And long.
Who were your best friends?
dizenchanted and
xssy, when I made it up to NYC for concerts, or talked to them online. In school ... Mike, Todd, Chris, Joe. Because they still talked to me, liked similar music, and would sometimes go to concerts with me.
What did you do after school?
Slept. Then I'd get up around midnight and spend the rest of the night online doing Uranium 235 related stuff... website, street team, promotions, etc.
Where did you work?
Eckerd. Drugstore. God, the embarrassment.
Did you take the bus?
I think so... I'd take it TO school sometimes. Or else I'd walk, or hitch a ride with my mom. I usually walked home from school, which involved taking a shortcut through the woods on someone else's property, but they never pulled a shotgun on me so I guess it was fine.
Who did you have a crush on?
Shane from Uranium 235.
Did you fight with your parents?
Did I ever NOT fight with my parents?
Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
Shane from Uranium 235? Marilyn Manson, Trent Reznor, Layne Staley....
Did you smoke cigarettes?
Hell no.
Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?
Too nervous to find your locker? Huh?
We only had three minutes between classes, so sometimes you'd have to lug extra books around because there just wasn't time to get to your locker. I'd do that or else not bring the book.... I really didn't care that year.
Did you have a 'clique'?
Um, no. I guess unless you count me and Todd, goth kids, sitting silently in the library during lunch.... but I was usually on the computer or reading or trying to sleep.
Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?
Is that a hangout place? Not unless you count my computer as a hangout place.
Admit it, were you popular?
Hell no.
Who did you want to be just like?
Ummmm.... myself?
And I was, perhaps, just a bit, attempting to emulate the gothindustrial kids I thought were cool when I was a freshman/sophomore. In order to, you know, set an example for the next generation of outcasts, as they had done for me.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A manager of a band.
Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?
In New York City. More involved with music than I actually am.
