On the other hand, this also looks incredibly cool.
Gigantic music festival, early May, in the California desert, 2 days, with a gazillion bands including Nine Inch Nails, New Order, Bauhaus, Coldplay, Weezer, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Cocteau Twins, and many many more.
Hmmm....

Date: 2005-02-10 04:31 pm (UTC)Coachella continues to be the coolest concert every year, and I continue to not be able to go to it for a new reason each year. Kinda sucks how California is so big.

Date: 2005-02-10 04:41 pm (UTC)1) It's outdoors, and hot. Me and outdoors are not mixy.
2) It's going to be a pain, and expensive, to arrange public transportation in a part of the world where driving is the norm, and distances are large. It can also be dangerous to travel alone when you have to depend on public transportation for everything.
3) It won't be much as much fun to go alone, and I don't think I can find anyone to go with.
But OTOH, I'd greatly prefer the focus on music, and the opportunity to see all these bands, over the actual content of ComicCon.
But ComicCon is indoors, easy opportunities for escape/relaxation/food, hotel nearby, the conveniences of a city, people to share rooms with, and people to enjoy the experience with.
So I'm torn....
