I think that concert ticket pre-sales were invented for the sole purpose of torturing me.
Two tries, and still no NIN tickets. They must've sold out each time within five seconds.
Last chance: 5pm today.

Date: 2005-03-07 10:49 am (UTC)I tried the first presale. No luck.
I tried the K-Rock presale. Me and three other people. None of us got through.
I tried the general public onsale. Me online, two people online in New Jersey, one person online in Maine, one person calling on the phone from an airport, and one person eighth in line at a Ticketmaster outlet. NONE of us got tickets. None! The Ticketmaster outlet sold out after the fourth person in line.
So, yeah. I went the eBay route. Now I can't afford to eat for the next 10 days, but hey, NIN.
*sigh*
How about you? Are you going?/To which show(s)?
I was trying to figure out why I care so much, seeing as I never even listened to The Fragile, and haven't been into NIN deeply for years. It's the principle of the thing. They are my roots, man. I loved them when I was twelve. When I first got MTV, Closer was in heavy rotation, and I watched, riveted, every single time it played. I cut out, collected, stuck on my walls, and still have pretty much every Downward Spiral review I could find. They're the reason I got into industrial music. They were part of my adolescence; parties spent watching NIN videos, collecting shirts and CDs and posters, scrawling logos and lyrics on schoolwork, drawing portraits of Trent Reznor. So much of my current fashion taste and musical interests can be traced directly back to them.
Yeah. It's essential to see NIN.

Date: 2005-03-07 12:42 pm (UTC)I'm going to the May 16th, Monday show at Hammerstein. I didn't realize how badly I wanted to see them until I actually got through and my hands started shaking.
They are my roots
So with you there. My high school band, the Broken ep. I haven't seen them in ages and I think I need a fix. I never go to shows anymore.

Date: 2005-03-07 04:10 pm (UTC)I'll be at the 15th and 16th. Probably for one of them I'll get there really early (before noon, maybe) and wait in line to get a spot up front.
Did you get floor or mezzanine tickets?
