Date: 2005-04-15 11:02 am (UTC)I saw Static-X with Dope opening for them. That mosh pit was *insane*.
Monster Magnet I saw opening for Manson; it was supposed to be Hole. (I'm still so pissed that I never got to see Hole!!!)
Corey Feldman played L'amour on my 20th birthday. How could I NOT go? It was actually the most fun I'd ever had at a show. He was totally having a good time, very tongue in cheek and aware that we were there sort of for amusement value, and he just put on a great show and had fun. It was one of those surreal nights where everything just goes great.
I saw VNV and Apop together. Didn't know any of their songs, wasn't too terribly impressed. Alas. I know I should've appreciated it more, but I didn't.
Poe I saw opening for NIN in an arena. So it wasn't that great. I didn't start listening to her stuff until later, and found out that I really liked it.
Genitorturers toured with Uranium 235 and Godhead for four dates, three of which I followed them on (Brooklyn, DC, Philly). They had these merch girls who I was chatting with beforehand; I borrowed a pen from one of them, I think. Then when the band performed, those girls were onstage doing a very explicit part of the show, and I was rather freaked out. But they were all quite nice, and the band was great. (It was weird seeing the singer dressed normal beforehand, and then all dolled-up onstage...)
