Well, Xander was Whedon's admitted "alter-ego," so of course he will be depicted in this comic as a thin, sneering, tanned, swaggering patch-wearing romance novel cover model. Because he was, you know (and the true reflection of the inner glory of his creator). We just couldn't see it on the show, blinded as we were by that pesky Spike. But now we all must love Xander and despair! Or something.
