I am very lucky to have internet & power. But worried about the subways not running for potentially several day or even weeks--the L train is my lifeline to Manhattan, which is where I basically do everything, so being stranded out here in Bushwick is weird.

I got about two hours of sleep last night because the wind was already that loud and tree branches were hitting my house.

This is not going to be a fun next 48 hours.

We're without power/heat, but otherwise ok. Basement didn't flood, thankfully.

All of my family at the shore are ok, but some of their houses aren't :( It'll be okay though.

Hey there. Added you optimistically because I wish everyone would move over here so I didn't have to look at LJ anymore. ;)

I am fine--lost internet last night but it came back this afternoon. Power wavered all night but thankfully stayed on.

I am really worried about the subways not running, though--I am basically stranded in the middle of nowhere, and the L train is my lifeline. So my fingers are crossed that it'll come back as soon as possible, but since it runs under the East River and presumably flooded, who knows...

Meanwhile I have a bunch of frozen dinners and the power to microwave them, so should be ok.
