I had this very disturbing dream last night that all the dogs of the world were rising up and taking control over their human masters.

The last part was me and my brother in this creepy old haunted house in the middle of a foggy night with a full moon. As we looked out the window we saw this huge pack of dogs overwhelm and devour a man who was running toward the house.

My brother ran into the other room to call the police, leaving me in the main room as the dogs swarmed into the house. I stood on the couch and tried to re-establish dominance by yelling at them very loudly. Then I woke up, probably right before I would've gotten killed by a pack of rebellious dogs.

I think this dream was inspired by the fact that my cats were acting insane yesterday. They refused to let me sleep for more than a half hour straight--they were constantly fighting with each other, jumping on the bed, climbing on me, biting my head, and so on. Gee, I wonder why I'd have a dream about domestic animals completely taking over their humans' lives...

Of course, they're fine when I'm petting them or playing with them; it's just when I try to do anything else that they get upset....

Aside from the cats being evil, things are going well.

- I got my final grades for this semester: two A- and one A. This brings my cumulative GPA to 3.506 which means I graduate with honors.

- For a graduation gift, my boss is paying my admission fee for an upcoming Buffy con. He came up with this himself. How cool is it that I work with people from whom I don't have to hide my interests?

- I have free time! Work during the day, yes, but the evenings are mine. (Well, mine and my cats'....)

- [livejournal.com profile] wiseacress let me archive "Beggars Would Ride." I've been bugging her about this forever. (It's a great story; check it out.)

- [livejournal.com profile] drujan is flying to Vegas with me for Writercon. We're arriving Tuesday night and leaving Monday night. (We're staying together early in the week; then I'm going to stay with my Writercon roommates since [livejournal.com profile] drujan isn't actually interested in the con.)

- Did I mention I'm done with school forever?

Thank you so much for the paid LJ time! You are totally awesome. :)

So how is everything with you? I hope you're doing well and not too stressed. Any plans to come to NY anytime soon?

Are you still planning to go to Writercon? Any idea yet when you're arriving/leaving? Just curious about who is going to be around. I'm hoping to see you there.

*big hugs*

You're welcome, hon. It was my pleasure and now you can add more icons :)
I'm crossing my fingers. I'm hoping to be in NY for most of July and yep, going to Writercon. I should be there Friday and leave on Monday. It's the most west I have been so I'm all thrilled!

Congratulations on your great GPA, and graduating with honors. That's wonderful - an amazing accomplishment.

As far as the dream goes, I believe Stephen King made a great deal of mony writing down his dreams and making them into books. Yours qualifies as being that type of dream, to my way of thinking. Scary.

Yeah, that dream does have a kind of Stephen King quality, doesn't it...

Oh wow, so very very happy you're graduating with such high success. You rock, babe, you really do. Congrats!

And hey, I *did* get your message about TT, I'm sorry you can't come but I understand. We'll still have Dragon*Con! ;oD

Thanks so much. :)

I'm really sorry about not coming to TT. I really wanted to, but everything seemed to come together all at once to make it extra-difficult. (That's right when I need to get a new roommate, I now have a limited number of vacation days, the money I'd been saving went to my cats, etc.) I'm still hoping to go for real some year, but this one just isn't right.

I can't wait for DragonCon. That is going to be awesome. :)

First, I don't think I ever properly congratulated you on finishing school. YAY!!!

Second, ummm last week I dreamt cats ruled the world and one way of entertaining themselves was to dangle actors in front of us as we batted them with our hands. Just saying.

Thirdly, which Buffy con? And cool is that!

Lastly, if I can find decent airfare...I might be going to WriterCon. It's all about money.

Lastly, if I can find

Thank you!

Any idea if you can come to my graduation party on Friday night? Just checking--I'd love to see you. (And I think my parents might pay for dinner.... ;)

The con my boss agreed to pay for is Moonlight Rising, actually. He came up with it himself and everything--he asked me "So ... do you have any way to get to Pennsylvania in early June?" and I said "I'm going to Pennsylvania in early June" and he said "Well, it's a good thing I didn't already buy you a ticket!" So he's going to reimburse me the registration fee. Cool, huh?

Are you going to see Eric Kufs at the Bitter End on Sunday? Just wondering; I thought I might go.

I so hope you can make it to WriterCon! Check out Jet Blue (jetblue.com); that's where Janna and I got our tickets.

Wait Friday? I thought the invite said Saturday. Friday yes I can go celebrate with you. Ginger will be town.

Are you coming on Sat to see Eliza in PA?

Very cool about the con ticket. I forgot he was playing Sunday. I may be tapped out by Sunday to hang out.

I'll look at JetBlue I forgot about them.

soulmate815, a friend of hers, Ginger and I. It's 20 bucks to buy a ticket for the day. Eliza isn't charging for autographs. We're going to chip in and just rent a car and drive down.

Ticket Information Purchase (http://store.yahoo.com/wizarduniverse/wizworeas20.html) to see Eliza.

Congrats on the grades and the GPA! Granted, I'm not real sure what all this GPA business is really all about, but As from NYU are outstanding, so go you!

And no more school! Isn't that, like, the best feeling ever? Enjoy it :)

And by the way, thank you for that supportive email that you sent right before my colloquium. I'm very sorry that I never sent a reply (it was a very busy time!) but it meant a lot to me that you took the time to write to me.

Hey, you know perfectly well, all your kitties want is a wittle bit of "torture". ;-)

Congratulations on graduating with honors! Great job.

...and I didn't say I was not interested in the con. I am. It's just, I am interested in other things as well (Grand Canyon! Wheeeee!), and it's proving a bit tricky to balance it all. [does a Scarlett O'Hara impersonation] But as god is my witness, I will do it all! [/ahem]

Too bad our trip is not two weeks instead of one.

All Hail The King of the Grasshoppers

You shouldn't worry about the dogs, because, do you know what?
Every time you save a animal in distress, The King of whatever that animal is takes note of it: so, if you rescue, saw, a grasshopper from drowning in the swimming pool, the King of the Grasshoppers knows about it, and if you are ever in trouble, he or his minions will come and rescue you.
So I'm sure that either the King of the Cats would come and save you, or else the Emperor of the Dogs would intervene on your behalf, saying "No! This is a good and worthy person, treat them with all honour, as you would another dog and give them a biscuit!" And yes, I've read WAY too many Rupert the Bear books.
And they would congratulate you on your success in your studies too.

Yay, You!

I *think* Ingrid told me you are having a party? Wish I were there. Have a drink on me, and I'll make it up to you in a couple of weeks.

Kiss the kitties for me!
