Why my job rocks

There are many reasons I love my job:

I work in a bright, open office.
It's right near the park.
It's a 15 minute walk from my house.
There are no security restrictions on the computers (and if there were, I'd be in charge of them).
I have lots of freedom to learn and try new things.
I get along with my coworkers.
We support progressive social causes.
We're all vegan.
It's within ordering distance of some of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the world.

But the number one reason I love my office:
Friday is pie day! Every Friday, my boss gives us money to buy a pie (or, sometimes, a cake) for the office. Today: fresh cherry pie from the farmer's market. So yummy. Really, pie makes everything better.

wow. if you convince them to hire me too, i will... man... i dunno... do anything. i'd wash your dishes, ad infinitum. and that's really saying a lot. just ask anyone who knows me. i'd sooner be attacked with a staple gun than do dishes.

no – hold on. i can do it. yes. i, irfikos, will do your dishes. there. i said it. (or at least i will purchase new ones to replace them for you daily.)

(all the graphic design gigs around here are sports related. i hate sports almost as much as doing dishes. grumble)

Wow. That's just...that's too good to be true. Yup, that's it. There's obviously something evil lurking in some hidden corner of that office, because light & open, and no security restrictions, and nice co-workers? All that just doesn't happen. ;-)

Seriously though, good to see you have a great job. It does make a big difference to the liveability of life.

anyway, thanks! i look forward to your feedback. and that whole "be gentle" thing? ignore that. i want people to rip it to shreds. i want brutal honesty. i want to be pummelled to death by heavy criticism, dammit!
