As for pairings ... noticed an intriguing Spike/Janice placeholder on the AAS pairings list the other day, but now it's gone!

I can't believe you noticed the pairing thing. I didn't realize anyone paid such close attention. What happened was that you saw a placeholder for a story that hadn't been archived yet (meaning I've got it in a "hidden section" of stories that I'm waiting to archive or waiting to get permission to archive). I finally figured out the MySQL query to list only the pairings (and authors, and times, etc) that already have stories in them. So you shouldn't get that "there are no stories in this category yet" message anymore.

The Spike/Janice is by Circe ... I think I'll go archive that now. It would certainly freak out "Guest." >:)

not that you necessarily need more ego-boosting, but i have always been a fan of your site, and i still think it's one of the best archives out there, even with my bias towards spuffy stories. spike is spike is spike, no matter who he does. that's the premise of your archive and even the title of the site. i will willingly drink your poison any day...
