I hate stupid people.

ETA: she apologized, so let's please not reply to her anymore.

Some little changes at All About Spike:

1. The new stories on the homepage are listed in a smaller font. This is so I can fit more; I'd like to have each new story on the homepage for at least a week. (They tend to get a lot more readers and reviews while they're still on there). If anyone thinks it looks like crap, let me know; I might re-think it.

2. The author, pairing, and time period pages will now only list an author/pairing/time if there's actually at least one story in it. No more "Sorry, there are no stories in this category yet." It should've always been like this, but I just recently figured out how to do the query properly.

3. The author information at the bottom of the story is all listed on one line. This just looks neater, especially for stories with multiple authors. I also added a link to "All stories by this author" that will appear with the other author information.

4. There's a link to the plain version of the story as well as the print version. Both versions are without formatting, but while the print version lists all chapters on one page, the plain version still separates the chapters. This is useful for those on WebTV, 640x480 monitors, or in any other situation where you have a hard time viewing the regular story pages properly.

At some point, I should really redo all the formatting on the site using CSS, but, well, that will be in some distant future when I actually have large amounts of free time.

Let me know if you find any errors. I'm picky and I'm a perfectionist; believe me, I want to know.

In other news: this weekend I hung out with [livejournal.com profile] drujan and [livejournal.com profile] soulmate815. We watched a punk-themed episode on one of [livejournal.com profile] soulmate815's old 21 Jump Street tapes. Johnny Depp's character was the one who went undercover as a punk. Yes, Johnny in eyeliner and leather and bondage pants and guh! It was too yummy for words.

Also, by weird coincidence, the episode had Jason Priestly as one of the punks, the guy who played Cancer Man (on X-Files) as a teacher, and the guy who played Mr. X (on X-Files) as the 21 Jump Street boss. At one point, Jason Priestly (looking very young and pretty) goes on this rant about he nicknamed himself "Tober" because October is his favorite month--because it's the month when everything dies. Then Johnny helps them all learn, completely without irony, that they should give up their punk lifestyle so they can join student council and be on the honor roll.

It was quite surreal.
