I kind of love that my favorite TV show is filming in my favorite city

Last night we had a SuperVegan meeting at ’sNice Brooklyn, after which I walked to the Q train at Atlantic Avenue (what a hellhole–the Ratner-created megamall and the nightmare traffic, I mean, which mar an otherwise decent area).

Today White Collar was filming there (and inside the Williamsburg Savings Bank*). I missed them by about eight hours. This fandom is hitting kind of eerily close to home!

I love Jeff Eastin for tweeting these pics. It's ridiculously fun to figure out where they're filming today, knowing that in a few months I'll get to see how it all fits together in the completed episodes.


* Incidentally, if you're interested in living in the Williamsburg Savings Bank, there's currently a 366 square foot studio with a Brooklyn view on sale for, ahem, ~only~ $285,000.

Huh. There was a production filming a bank robbery outside my office yesterday in Tribeca. I wonder what that will show up on, and if we are in for a rash of tv bank robberies.

Gah, I miss working in Manhattan. I used to see stuff being filmed all the time; now I'm in middle-of-nowhere Brooklyn and there's nothing.

This site lists a lot of filming locations; you might be able to figure out from it what you saw filming yesterday, if you're curious.
