I think Angel is more traditionally pretty but Lucifer's sweet soul shines through and makes him the loveliest. :)

I never really thought about it, but one of the cats I claim as my time-share pet - roomieC has three cats, but as I picked two of them out, I say I get time-shire that I use when I'm in LA - is getting those red sections too. She is completely black and probably about fifteen or so at best guess.

When I see her on Monday, I'll take a closer look. When I'm home, she spends the day sleeping in a sun beam at the food of my bed.

It could totally be from the sun! Lucifer's mom was an outside cat and Lucifer himself always finds the sunny spots to sleep in. :)

Thank you! He is ridiculously snuggly. His fur is soft and velvety and he always finds the most adorable ways to snuggle. (Like climbing in bed next to me and pressing his forehead into my shoulder. Ridiculously adorable.) :)

I had a tuxedo cat once who developed some red undertones, but Lucifer's are definitely stronger.

Cool! I doubt it's that rare TBH but it's cool that the vet was all excited about it. :) Plus it gives me more excuses to make up silly nicknames for him... Lucifer the Red... ;)
