Tom Hiddleston is the most adorable thing ever. But I haven’t watched Henry V yet because I’ve been too tired and busy.
Why is everyone writing about Teen Wolf? I do not understand.
White Collar is back. And I haven’t had time to watch it. At this point it seems like I need to schedule things like “watch an hour of television” two weeks in advance to slot them into my calendar.
Ugh, work.
Saw the new Dark Knight this weekend and was disappointed at how incoherent and boring it was. Whatever themes or ~issues of moral ambiguity~ it was trying to grapple with were laughable, and every character except Selina was flat. Also, whose grand idea was it to have all the actors mumble, often with accents and/or giant muzzle things blocking half their face? I did like the ending, though, and that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was hot.Why are half the Loki hurt/comfort stories mpreg? Stupid Norse mythology. Mpreg to me is like snakes to Indiana Jones. >:(
Proof that I will never find a canon as attuned to my interests as Supernatural. But sadly as the S8 spoilers come out, I find myself eyerolling and bored.

Date: 2012-07-24 11:35 pm (UTC)I did consider putting together a post about what's the what about Teen Wolf but I essentially ended up saying the main things to my buddy Sept in the comments to my last entry on LJ.
Essentially, it's an unpretentious genre show with likable characters that doesn't take itself all that seriously, but is surprisingly genre-savvy enough to circumvent the clichés and/or make them work for its advantage.
It's often funny, the teenagers behave like teenagers and have parents who behave like parents. It's also unexpectedly moving at times.
It has a fandom which seems to be booming right now and is dominated by one juggernaut slash ship, but there still seems to be plenty of love for other characters and pairings.
It feels new. It could have easily been just trying to ride the tail of Twilight's success and capitalize on "werewolves are the next hot thing OMG!" and, up to a point, of course it's doing just that, but there's also thought put into it.
IDK, I like. It's fun. They just got renewed for a third full season and I'm betting it's the next big thing.
