Fandom migration

I am mainly posting on Tumblr these days. Sigh.

I’ll still be on Dreamwidth/LJ/rusty-halo.com for the foreseeable future (friendslock is invaluable, and many of my good friends are here) but I’m also there.

If you have a Tumblr, let me know. I hate to lose track of people.

I have a Tumblr, too, but I don't use it. I tried it, but it wasn't my thing at all.

It's not really my thing but it's the only place "Sleep No More" fandom is at all active, so I'm kind of stuck with it.

And just scrolling through my dashboard is kind of a decent replacement for watching television....

It horribly lacks the ability to communicate that DW offers, though. It seems more for consuming media than communicating about it. :(

If I could figure out how to use it, I might get one. I stalk a couple of The Walking Dead folks, mostly for fanfic recs, but I really don't get how the whole things works. *is old* That whole fandom seems to be on Tumblr, though. And while I appreciate cool gifs and pretty pictures of Daryl Dixon, I just don't see how it's a good forum for conversation, which is what I'm really interested in.

I'm mostly there for the pretty pictures. There are workarounds to communicate (like private messaging people or reblogging their post with yours beneath) but it's terribly inferior to Dreamwidth.

If it says "(source: [someone else])" or is preceded by an attribution like "[someone else]:" then I'm probably just reblogging something someone else posted.

If not it's probably something I posted.

I know, it's totally unintuitive and horrid! But it's also the only place Sleep No More fandom exists in any kind of active form. :(
